Pastor Nyrone Hawkins First Anniversary

Pastor Hawkins considers himself a “grandson” of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, and has the vision for the church to once again be the “feet and hands” of the Glenview Community.Because of his deep love for Christ, he is anxious for the church to once again be the heart of the community. It has been one year, and Pastor Hawkins has been implementing change for Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church to become the heart of the community.

Our Focus for 2026

TO LEAD IS TO SERVE (Serving Beyond 1662), with the supporting scripture being “So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?  Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.  If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.  For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you."   (John 13: 12-15).

Pastor Hawkins is a firm believer in communication and fellowship in order for the church to grow. We are anxious for the growth that is coming, and we are prepairing for the blessings.

Our Focus for 2026

The members have learned to embrace Pastor Hawkins’s philosophy to Pray about It; Talk about it; and Be about it as well as one of his favorite verses: “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.   Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.   Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.   Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.” – Psalms 24: 7-10. We the members are thankful for Pastor Hawkins and we are prayful the Lord will lead him so he can guide us for years to come. We are ready to: POP!!!
