October Schedule

  • Higher Impact Sunday School Lessons for October: First Sunday “Who, Me?”, Jeremiah 1: 6-10; 26: 8-9, 12-16; Second Sunday “Walk the Talk”, Jeremiah 7: 1-11; 21-23; Third Sunday “Promises, Promises”, Jeremiah 35: 5-11;  Fourth Sunday “The Heart Wants What the Heart Wants”, Jeremiah 31: 29-34; John 1:17.  Please join us in person or via Zoom at 9:20 am. Unit II:  Jeremiah and the Promise of Renewal.
  • We successfully raised funds for the air condition system, but please continue to give towards the building fund to address other needs of the church.
  • Servant Leaders will meet on Tuesday, October 8th (via Zoom) from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
  • We will be feeding the homeless on Saturday, October 11th.  Please meet at the church at 9:30 am to assist in preparing sandwiches and plan to leave for the park at 10:00 am.
  • Sunday, October 12th is Clergy Appreciation Day.   Show our Pastor some extra love by Praying about it; Talking about it; and Being about it!
  • The Finance Ministry will be meeting with the Pastor on Sunday, October 12th immediately following Worship Service.
  • The Women’s Support Ministry will meet via Zoom and in-person on Saturday, October 18th at 11:00 am.   Dr. Rosenthall will present a health topic.  Please remember to bring “Luggage for Love” to help us meet our goal.
  • The Memphis Baptist Congress of Christian Education will meet Sunday, October 19th at 3:00 pm, Salem Gilfield Baptist Church (3176 Kimball Avenue) where Rev. Stanford L. Hunt is Pastor.
  • The Pastor’s Esteem Ministry will meet via zoom on Saturday, October 25th at 11:00 am.
  • Hallelujah House will be held on Friday, October 31st.  Time to be determined.
